A fine example of a third reich period bronze grade SA sports badge; in bronze; the obverse constructed of an oak wreath with a ribbon at the 9 and 3 o’clock positions, with a mobile swastika in the center and a vertically upright sword superimposed onto the wreath; the reverse plain, with a vertical pinback and a functional hinge/catch assembly; maker marked “Bonner Kunstabzeichen Bedarf Fabrik, Bonn am Rhein” and “Eigentum der Obersten SA Führung”, and numbered “113947” on the reverse; measuring 57.41 mm x 44.55 mm; weighing 19.0 grams; in overall very fine condition.
