This is a unique hand-chiseled bust of a first war Imperial German soldier. It is constructed of multiple pieces of wood glued together to form a square base that forms into a tunic with propped-up collars. Above the collars is the face of a German soldier, who is wearing a late first war model M1918 Stahlhelm. It is maker marked on the reverse “HS” as well as on the bottom of the bust with “Hans Seegebarth” and “Model Unverkäuflich” (Model - not for sale) in green ink. It measure 120 mm x 115 mm x 280 mm tall. It is in mint condition with attractive patina on the protective finish.
