A mint and unissued Honour Cross of the Word War 1914/18 (often incorrectly referred to by collectors as the Hindenburg Cross) by Carl Poellath. Constructed of bronzed metal (magnetic); on loop for suspension; with a short piece of period original ribbon; maker marked “C.P” for “Carl Poellath of Schrobenhausen” on the reverse; measuring 42.46 mm x 37.51 mm; weighing 15.0 grams; accompanied by its original paper wrapper and a warranty tag by Carl Poellath, as well as its packet of issue; overall near mint condition.
