A Russian Imperial Medal Commemorating the Reign of Tsar Alexander III

Silver, 27.8 mm, surface wear evident on the obverse, light contact, very fine. Footnote: The medal was established on February 26, 1896 by Tsar Nicholas II, to commemorate the fifty-first year of the birth of his late father, Tsar Alexander III. The medal was bestowed upon the higher ranks of the Armed Forces, civil servants and of the Clergy, who were on active duty on that date.
