France; Silvered bronze, illustrating a First War French Army helmet backed by a branch of laurel leaves, seven gilt bronze individual letters spelling "ARGONNE" affixed to the ribbon banner, bronze gilt Cross of Lorraine affixed in three locations, one on the helmet and one at either end of the ribbon banner, 17.8 mm x 37.5 mm, a 9 mm x 10 mm bronze five-armed cross illustrating a standing soldier in the centre suspended from the badge, extremely fine.
