A German Kriegsmarine EM/NCO’s Tropical Field Cap

This is a well preserved German Kriegsmarine field cap (Einheitsmütze), constructed of tan coloured cotton blended fabric. This cap features non-foldable side skirts, and two breather holes on either side, along with a cardboard reinforced visor at the front. Towards the front of the cap used to feature a Kriegsmarine eagle and a cockade, which were previously removed from the cap. The interior is lined in grey cotton blended fabric that is stamped “56 Heinrich Baike Mützenfabrik Bremen, 1942” with a black stamp. It measures approximately 254 mm x 190 mm, with only light signs of period wear, such as light discolouration in the interior liner from sweat; in overall near extremely fine condition.
