A second war German “Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen” silver grade; oval shaped oak leaf wreath in silvered bronze, with a national eagle clutching a swastika on the top and a bowtie on the bottom. Diagonally across the badge is a Karabiner 98k with the bayonet attached to the front of the barrel and the carrying sling hanging from the rifle; the reverse plain; with a vertical round wire pinback, a sheet metal hinge, and a flat wire catch; unmarked; measuring 61.87 mm x 47.52 mm; weighing 19.2 grams; with most of its original silver finish worn off, but with enough remaining to positively identify this piece as a silver grade Infantry Assault Badge; in overall better than fine condition.
