Spain, Franco Period. A Cross of Aeronautical Merit, I Class Cross with White Distinction

Spain; Franco Era (1949-1975); Three-piece construction, bronze gilt with red, white and blue enamels, unmarked, 41 mm x 54.5 mm inclusive of its crown suspension, original ribbon, suspended from a traditional Spanish horizontal hanger with pinback, very light crazing evident in the white enamels on the centrepiece, otherwise the enamels are intact, extremely fine.
 
Footnote: The Cross of Aeronautical Merit was instituted in 1949, to reward contributions to Spanish aviation and may be awarded to both military and civilians, and to Spanish and foreign citizens.
