A Scarce Second War Croatian Navy Officer’s Visor Cap; Published Example

This is a fine quality manufacture and gently worn Officer’s Visor Cap of the Croatian Navy. The crown of the cap is constructed of white a white cotton. The band of the cap is constructed of dark blue coarsely interwoven fabric, and is ordained with a “NDH” wreath and anchor in hand embroidered bullion. The cap features a leather trimmed vulcan fibre visor with a leather chin strap resting on it, attached to the sides of the cap via two gilt buttons. The interior of the cap is lined in cloth, with a perforated leather sweatband around the entire circumference of the cap. It measures 220 mm x 160 mm. This cap is pictured in the book "Hrvatske Oruzane Snage" on pg. 114. A lightly worn example extremely fine condition.
