The certificate states that Hermann Teichmann of the 9th Company of 3rd Battalion of the 1st Navy Infantry Regiment is awarded the “Ehren- und Erinnerungskreuz des Marinekorps Flandern”, or “Flandernkreuz” (German Imperial Naval Corps Flanders Cross). The document carries a facsimile of Commanding Admiral of the Marinekorps, Ludwig von Schröder, a recipient of the Pour le Mérite with Oak Leaves.
