Germany, Heer. An Early Field Repaired Panzer Badge, Bronze Grade

A second war German bronze grade “Panzerkampfabzeichen”; oval shaped bronzed tombac; the obverse with a border of oak leaves with a tie at the base and a Panzerkampfwagen IV superimposed in the centre on grassy ground, with the left tank track extending over the edge of the badge; the reverse plain with a replacement vertical pinback; measuring 41.14 mm x 60.17 mm; weighing 15.3 grams; discoloured towards the bottom of the badge; in overall fine condition.
