Montenegro; Multi-piece construction, Gold cypher and lettering on a silver with red, white and blue enamelled cross, mounted to a sixteen-pointed silver star base, assay city marked "A" (Vienna) in two locations on the pin, maker marked "VINC. MAYER'S SÖHNE WIEN" on the reverse cartouche, 85 mm (w) x 84.5 mm (h), vertical pinback, intact enamels, extremely fine.

Dr. Goodwin had a successful career as an educator and prominent physician in New York as well as actively serving in both World Wars with the United States Medical Corps.
