"A fine example of a 1914-1918 issue Albrecht Order Commander’s Cross Breast Star with Swords (Albrechtsorden Burststern zum Komturkreuz mit Schwertern); a silver gilt 32-pointed star and crossed swords; the obverse with a central white enameled medallion bearing the leftward facing gilt bust of Herzog Albrecht, surrounded by a blue enameled ring, inscribed “Albertus Animous” (Latin - Albert the Merciful), along with arabesques towards the bottom of the enameled ring; the reverse with a vertical pin (marked with a star for wartime Austrian recipient) and a functional hinge/catch assembly and four hollow rivets; these examples were exclusively manufactured by “Juwilierfirma G.A. Scharffenberg, Dresden”; measuring 90.55 mm x 90.40 mm; weighing 62.6 grams; with some light wear to the original gilt; in overall extremely fine condition. "
