An 1885-1918 issue Mecklenburg-Schwerin Memoerial Medal for Grand Duke Friedrich Franz III (Gedächtnismedaille für den Großherzog Friedrich Franz III); a round silver medal; the obverse with a rightward facing bust of Grand Duke Friedrich Franz III, circumscribed by his name; the reverse with the royal monogram, circumscribed “Per Aspera Ad Astra (latin - Through difficulties to the stars); suspended from a loop with its period original ribbon; measuring 29.29 mm; in overall extremely fine condition.
