A grouping of an Iron Cross 1914 Second Class; white metal cross pattée of multi-piece construction with a blackened iron core (magnetic) within a white metal ribbed border; on loop for suspension (marked “KO” - for Königliches Münzamt Orden, Berlin); the obverse with a raised central “W” with the re-institution date “1914” in raised numbering on the lower arm, as well as with a raised Prussian royal crown on the upper arm; the reverse with an oak leaf twig with three leaves in the centre, the original institution date “1813” on the bottom arm, as well as “FW” in raised letter and a raised Prussian royal crown on the upper arm; measuring 48.03 mm x 43.08 mm; weighing 16.4 grams. Accompanied by a Non-Combatant Hindenburg Cross; in bronzed metal (magnetic); on loop for suspension; maker marked “CW” on the reverse; measuring 42.76 mm x 37.50 mm; weighing 12.9 grams; overall better than fine condition.
