1) An Iron Cross 1914 Second Class; a cross pattée of multi-piece construction with a blackened iron core (magnetic) within a ribbed border; on loop for suspension; the obverse with a raised central “W”, with the re-institution date “1914” in raised numbering on the lower arm, and the royal crown on the upper arm; the reverse with a central oak-leaf branch consisting of three oak leaves, with the original institution date “1813” in raised numbers on the lower arm, a raised Prussian crown on the upper arm, with “FW” in equally raised lettering directly below; measuring 42.66 mm x 42.47 mm.
2) A 1894-1917 General Decoration for Bravery “Allgemeines Ehrenzeichen für Tapferkeit”; a round silver medal; the obverse depicting the leftward facing bust of Großherzog Ernst Ludwig, circumscribed by his name; the reverse inscribed “Für Tapferkeit” (German - For Bravery), within an open-ended wreath consisting of laurel and oak leaves; measuring 33.61 mm.
3) A Bavarian Order of Military Merit Fourth Class with Swords (Kreuz 4. Klasse mit Schwertern); a silver Maltese cross with blue, white, and black enamels; the obverse with a central black enameled medallion bearing a silver crowned cipher of King Ludwig III within a white enameled border in the form of a buckled belt with silver letters reading “Merenti” (Latin - “Merit”); the reverse with a central black enameled medallion bearing a silver crowned Bavarian lion within a white enameled border in the form of a buckled belt with silver numbers reading “1866”; suspended from a horizontally pierced ball suspension - marked “950” for silver content, and “JL” for “Jacob Leser, Straubing” on the reverse; measuring 40.96 mm x 41.26 mm.
4) A Hindenburg Cross; “Ehrenkreuz des Weltkriegs 1914/1918”; a bronzed metal cross pattée with crossed swords between the arms of the cross; the obverse inscribed with “1914/1918” within an open-ended laurel wreath; the reverse plain; maker marked “WD”; measuring 37.38 mm x 37.18 mm.
5) A 1936 German Olympic Decoration; 2nd class breast badge; a five-pointed asymetrical star with white enameled arms, with sun rays between the arms of the cross; the obverse with five interlocking white enameled Olympic rings, and a national eagle clutching a wreathed swastika on the top of the badge; measuring 53.94 mm x 55.87 mm. All mounted on a medal bar with their period original ribbons; zink core; white backer; functional horizontal pinback; measuring 150 mm x 42 mm; a proudly worn example, with light soiling on the ribbons, light oxidation on some of the decorations, light contact marks in the enamels, and very light hairline cracks in the enamels of the Olympic badge; overall in very fine condition.
