Germany, SS. A Public Notice for the Sentencing of Russian Saboteur Wassili Sjabew

This is a public notice, in German and Ukrainian, from the General Government Ukraine (Armeekomandostelle SD-Außenkommando 2). It reads “Due to complicity and active participation in the attack on a train bridge guard outpost at Ostrow on February 11, 1942, the 30-year-old Russian Wassili Sjabew from Baranowtschi was hanged following sentencing by court martial. The sentence was carried out publicly on February 12.” It measures 588 mm x 398 mm with light wrinkling from storage, but in overall extremely fine condition.
