Canada. A First War 9th Mounted Rifles Cap Badge

Pickled copper, double stamped with the wrong reading "R.J. INGLIS LIMITED" maker mark on the reverse, 42.5 mm (w) x 43.7 mm (h), both lugs intact, extremely fine.

Footnote: The 9th Mounted Rifle Battalion was organized on March 15, 1915, in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. It was broken up to provide reinforcements, and was finally disbanded on November 15, 1920.
