Germany. A Silver Grade Tank Badge by A.D Schwert of Stuttgart

An example of a “Panzerkampfabzeichen”; oval shaped silvered zink; the obverse with a border of oak leaves with a tie at the base and a Panzerkampfwagen IV superimposed in the centre on grassy ground, with the left tank track extending over the edge of the badge; the reverse plain with a vertical needle style pin, a crimped ball hinge, and a flat wire catch; with the stylized logo of “A.D Schwert, Stuttgart” on the reverse; measuring 42.61 mm x 62.98 mm; weighing 21.2 grams; in near very fine condition.
