Germany. A Luftwaffe Radio Operator & Air Gunner Badge

A textbook example of an War time manufactured Radio Operator & Air Gunner “Fliegerschützenabzeichen für Bordfunker” badge; in silvered and patinated zink; two piece construction - consisting of a wreath of oak leaves and laurel leaves, with a mobile swastika on the bottom of the wreath and an eagle that was separately applied onto the wreath (utilizing two rivets visible on the reverse); vertical needle style pin with a sheet metal hinge and a flat wire catch; a worn example in near very fine condition.
