A textbook example of a Luftwaffe Air Gunner badge by this maker; manufactured without lightning bolts; in feinzink; with two rivets on the reverse to hold the eagle to the frame; vertical needle-style pinback with a narrow barrel hinge and a round wire catch; maker marked “W. Deumer, Lüdenscheid” for “Wilhelm Deumer, Lüdenscheid” on the reverse; badge weighs 25.3 grams; in extremely fine condition. (From the collection of Thomas M. Durante).
