A textbook example of an absolutely mint and unissued third reich period Wehrmacht Heer (Army) Officer’s breast eagle; constructed of extremely fine quality manufacture fine twisted, flat, and curled silver aluminum bullion wires, with grey twisted threading throughout to give the eagle’s wings more definition; on a dark green wool backer, and with its black paper backing fully preserved; measuring 100 mm x 43 mm; mint and unissued condition.
