An example of a second war German gold grade Verwundetenabzeichen”; oval shaped gilded zink; the obverse pebbled with a Stahlhelm in the centre featuring a large mobile swastika on its side superimposed on crossed swords within a wreath of laurel leaves with a tied bow at the bottom; the reverse plain with a vertical needle style pin, an integrated hinge, and an integrated catch; measuring 36.64 mm x 44.12 mm; weighing 24.8 grams; with some of its original silver finish worn off due to age and wear, in overall very fine condition.
