A silver gilt white enameled latin cross with a green enameled oak wreath and crossed swords between the arms of the cross; the obverse with a central white enameled medallion depicting a leftward facing bust of Herzog Albrecht, surrounded by a blue enameled ring, inscribed “Albertus Animous” (Latin - Albert the Mercyful), along with arabesques towards the bottom of the enameled ring, and with a Bavarian crown on the top arm of the cross; the reverse with an unmarked centerpiece, vertical pin with a functional hinge/catch assembly - the pin marked “Silber” (German - Silver); measuring 46.08 mm x 70.10 mm; weighing 33.7 grams; the enamels untouched, without chips or cracks of any kind; extremely fine.
