A fine example of a complete early c. 1934 Wehrmacht Heer (Army) set of Officer’s visor cap insignia, consisting of an eagle and a cockade, 1) The eagle constructed of highly detailed silvered cupal; both prongs strong and fully intact on the reverse; unmarked; measuring 48.53 mm (w) x 28.95 mm (h); weighing 3.7 grams. 2) The wreath; constructed of twisted silver aluminum bullion wire embroidery, with a metal tri-colour cockade; mounted onto a heavily padded green wool base with a black rayon-paper hybrid backing; measuring 63 mm (w) x 43 mm (h); an uniform removed example; in overall better than very fine condition.
