An example of a Prussian “Verdienstkreuz für Kriegshilfe”; a Maltese cross constructed of war alloy; the obverse inscribed “Für Kriegshilfsdienst” (German - For War Aid), with an oak wreath on the bottom half of the cross; the reverse with the Royal Monogram of “Wilhelm Rex”; with double loops for suspension, but without its ribbon; measuring 40.57 mm (w) x 41.00 mm (h); in overall near extremely fine condition. An example of an “Eisernes Kreuz 1914 2. Klasse”; a cross pattée of multi-piece construction with a blackened iron core (magnetic) within a ribbed border; with a replacement loop for suspension that was looped through the silver frame of the cross; without its ribbon; the obverse with a raised central “W”, with the re-institution date “1914” in raised numbering on the lower arm, and the royal crown on the upper arm; the reverse with a central oak-leaf branch consisting of three oak leaves, with the original institution date “1813” in raised numbers on the lower arm, a raised Prussian crown on the upper arm, with “FW” in equally raised lettering directly below; measuring 41.12 mm (w) x 41.21 mm (h); weighing 15.6 grams; the bottom left corner of the cross bent, with the cross slightly miss-shaped; in overall better than fine condition. An example of a third reich period “Landeskriegerverband Kriegerverein Ehrenkreuz 2. Klasse Für Verdienst im Kriegervereinwesen”; in silvered bronze; with aloop for suspension but without its ribbon; measuring 44.50 mm (w) x 50.04 mm (h); weighing 29.3 grams; with approximately 80% of its original silver finish remaining; in overall near very fine condition.
