An extremely fine quality manufacture and nearly untouched example of a 1913-1918 issue Princly Schaumburg-Lippe Houseorder Cross Fourth Class (Fürstlicher Hausorden Kreuz IV Klasse) in its original case of issue by Godet & Sohn; a silver Maltese cross; the obverse with a silver gilt eight-pointed star, with a central white enameled medallion bearing a red enameled Lippian rose, surrounded by a blue enameled ring, inscribed “Für true und verdienst” (German - For loyalty and service); the reverse with a central blue enameled medallion with a royal crown and the royal monogram of Adolph George in gold; on a horizontally pieced ball and loop for suspension; with its mint period original ribbon; measuring 43.31 mm (w) x 43.33 mm (h); weighing 26.3 grams. Accompanied by its original case of issue; constructed of heavy pressed paper, with a burgundy faux leather (leatherette) exterior; with a lined interior lid - embossed “J. Godet & Sohn Hofliferanten SB. Majestät des Königs” in golden lettering; recessed medal bed; functional spring catch with stud release; functional dual exterior metal hinges; measuring 61 mm (w) x 101 mm (h); in virtually mint condition.
