An Italian Volunteer's Merit Medal, Type I for the Italian-Austrian War of 1915-1918

Italy (Kingdom); Bronze, engraver marked "P. MORBIDUCCI" on the obverse and "SACCHINI-MILANO" on the reverse, 32.5 mm, without ribbon, green oxidation evident on the reverse, spotting, better than very fine.

Footnote: The Volunteer's Merit Medal was established on May 24, 1923 by Royal decree no. 1163 and awarded to all those who were praiseworthy and volunteered in the Royal Army or Navy during the First World War.
