An extremely fine quality example of a Bavarian Military Order of Max Joseph Commander Cross “Militär Max Joseph Kommandeur Kreuz” miniature pendant; a silver gilt Maltese cross with ball finals; the obverse with a central blue enameled medallion depicting the Royal Monogram of Max Joseph König in silver, surrounded by a silver gilt ribbed ring; the reverse with a similar blue enameled medallion, inscribed “Virtuti Pro Patria” (Latin - Bravery for the Fatherland); on a swivel crown and loop for suspension; measuring 16.65 mm (w) x 16.51 mm (h); weighing 3.5 grams; in overall virtually mint condition.
