An example of a 1935 “Deutsch die Saar, Immerdar” (German - The Saar is German Forever) plebiscite medal; a round bronze medal; the obverse depicting a proletariat, circumscribed by “Deutsch die Saar, Immerdar” - marked “FR”; the reverse depicting a map of the Saarland, circumscribed “Volksabstimmung im Saargebiet - 13.1.1935”; measuring 36.09 mm in diameter; weighing 22.2 grams. Accompanied by its original presentation box; constructed of cardstock; the exterior of the lid embossed with “Deutsch die Saar immerdar” in golden lettering; the inside of the box stuffed with wrapping paper; the underside of the box inscribed “Bronce”; measuring 41 mm (w) x 42 mm (h); in virtually mint condition.
