An extremely well preserved second war period Wehrmacht Heer (Army) long service medal bar grouping, consisting of 1) A 12-Year Wehrmacht Long Service Medal “Dienstauszeichnung für 12 Dienstjahre”; a circular gilt metal (magnetic); on loop for suspension; the obverse with the German eagle in the centre, circumscribed in German Gothic lettering “Treue Dienste in der Wehrmacht” (Faithful Service in the Armed Forces); the reverse with the raised number “12” centrally within an oak wreath border; measuring 29.98 mm. 2) A 4-Year Wehramcht Long Service Medal “Dienstauszeichnung für 4 Dienstjahre”; a circular silvered metal (magnetic); on loop for suspension; the obverse with the German eagle in the centre, circumscribed in German Gothic lettering “Treue Dienste in der Wehrmacht” (Faithful Service in the Armed Forces); the reverse with the raised number “4” centrally within an oak wreath border; measuring 29.93 mm in diameter. All mounted to a medal bar via their matching cornflower blue ribbon; with their matching miniature Hoheitszeichen; metal core (non-magnetic); horizontal pinback; red wool backer; measuring 70 mm (w) x 58 mm (h); in overall near mint condition.
