A second war DRK (Deutsches Rotes Kreuz/German Red Cross) service medal; two-piece construction; in silvered bronze and and white, and black, and pebbled red enamels; the obverse with a large enameled red cross within a white enameled ring, with a black enameled eagle fastened to the centre clutching a wreath with a de-nazified swastika in the center; the reverse of the cross lightly textured and inscribed “Für Verdienste um das Deutsche Rote Kreuz/For Service in the German Red Cross”; measuring 38.24 mm in diameter; the swastika filed off, and the ribbon slightly soiled; in overall near very fine condition.
