A fine quality manufacture Prussian House Order of Hohenzollern (Königlicher Hausorden von Hohenzollern); Knight’s Cross with Swords/Ritterkreuz mit Schwertern; in silver gilt and fine blue, green, black, and white enamels; with a fine crown suspension; cross pattée with arms in rounded ends with white-black white-alternating enamels; with gilded crossed swords and a green enameled oak leaf wreath between the arms; the obverse with a black enameled eagle in a white enamel center medallion, surrounded by a blue enameled ring circumscribed “Vom Fels zum Meer” (From the mountain to the ocean); the reverse with a white enameled center medallion with the crown cipher, surrounded by a blue enameled ring circumscribed “Den 18 Januar 1851” (The 18th January 1851); maker marked “W” for “Richard Wagner”, “938” for silver content; measuring 39.50 mm (w) x 58.55 mm (h); weighing 23.4 grams; with only light contact marks on the enamels, but without chips or cracks of any kind; in overall extremely fine condition.
