An mint example of a War Merit Cross Second Class with Swords “Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern”; maltese cross in bronzed metal alloy; on loop for suspension (unmarked); with its period original ribbon; the obverse with crossed swords between the arms of the cross and a circular raised border of oak leaves on the obverse with a raised mobile swastika in the center; the reverse with a circular raised border of oak leaves bearing the institution date 1939” in raised numbering; measuring 47.80 mm (w) x 48.16 mm (h); weighing 25.6 grams. Accompanied by its packet of issue; a paper packet, with “Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern” printed in black Gothic lettering on the obverse, and “Glaser & S0hn, Dresden-A.1” printed in black lettering on the reverse; with a small piece of sticky tape attached to the flap to prevent it from ripping; measuring 59 mm (w) x 105 mm (h); in overall mint condition.
