An example of a  second war German bronze grade Tank Badge “Panzerkampfabzeichen”; seven wheel variant; semi-hollow; oval shaped bronzed zink; the obverse with a border of oak leaves with a tie at the base and a Panzerkampfwagen IV superimposed in the centre on grassy ground, with its left tank track extending over the edge of the badge - of note are the seven wheels of the tank track that protrudes past the wreath; the reverse plain with a vertical needle style pin, sheet metal hinge, and a round wire catch; measuring 42.01 mm (w) x 59.91 mm (h); weighing 14.5 grams; with nearly all of its original bronze finish worn off, but with enough remaining to positively identify this as a bronze grade tank badge.
