An extremely fine quality manufacture “Verdienstorden vom Deutschen Adler mit Schwerter”; multi-piece construction; a gilt silver Maltesian cross (marked “900” on the reverse), with extremely well preserved high quality manufacture white enamels; with four hand-carved national eagles, one between each of the four arms of the cross; with a vertical pinback, a barrel hinge, and a rounded catch; maker marked “21” for “Godet & Co. of Berlin” on the obverse of the pin; measuring 49.38 mm (w) x 49.29 mm (h); weighing 31.8 grams; in overall extremely fine condition.
