A third reich period example of a RAD (Reichsarbeitsdienst/National Labour Service) cap badge; in aluminum; the obverse with a painted red shovel with a central black mobile swastika; one prong preserved on the reverse - one missing; marked “Ges. Gesch.” and “C.T.D”, and “38” on the reverse; measuring 45 mm (w) x 38 mm (h); a worn example, in overall fine condition.
