A second war German “Panzerkampfabzeichen”; oval shaped silvered zink; semi-hollow; the obverse with a border of oak leaves with a tie at the base and a Panzerkampfwagen IV superimposed in the centre on grassy ground, with its left tank track extending over the edge of the badge; the reverse plain with a vertical needle style pin, a crimped ball hinge, and a crimped round wire catch; maker marked “R.K.” for “Rudolf Karneth, Gablonz an der Neisse” on the reverse; measuring 42.99 mm (w)x 62.88 mm (h); weighing 30.7 grams; in better than fine condition.
