An early quality German “Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen”; oval silvered fine zink; with an oak leaf border and a pair of acorns at the base, with a large Wehrmacht-style eagle with folded wings clutching a mobile swastika, and a crossed bayonet and stick grenade in the centre; the reverse plain with a vertical needle style pin, a barrel hinge, and a round wire catch; by an unknown maker; measuring 42.34 mm (w) x 53.53 mm (h); weighing 33.8 grams; dark toning to silver, better than extremely fine condition.
