A cased 1933 Maschinengewehr First Prize table medal of the 8th Infantry Regiment 12 MG Kompanie; in gilt bronze; the obverse depicting a MG marksman; the reverse inscribed “Preisrichten 1933 - 1. Preis 8. Inf.-Regt. 12. (M.G.) Komp.”; measuring 50.40 mm in diameter; weighing 48.8 grams. In its original case of issue; constructed of heavy pressed paper, with a green faux leather (leatherette) exterior; severed interior hinge cover; measuring 78 mm (w) x 78 mm (h); in virtually mint condition.
