A 1938 NSFK (National Socialist Flyers Corps/Nationalsozialistisches Fliegerkorps) Reichsflugwettbewerb Küstennachtflug badge; in heavily silvered tombac and blue and white enamels; the obverse illustrates a winged man (Icarus) in flight, a swastika superiplosed on the foreground, and a semicircular banner above with the recessed letters “NSFK”; the reverse plain, with a horizontal pinback; maker marked “O. Fechler, Bernsbach” on the reverse, along with three small rivets visible from where Icarus is attached to the badge; measuring 39.03 mm (w) x 53.85 mm (h); weighing 32.3 grams; in overall extremely fine condition.
