Canada; Pickled copper, one is maker marked "R.J. INGLIS TORONTO" on the reverse, the other is unmarked, 27.5 mm (w) x 28.5 mm (h) each, the former with a horizontal pinback replacing its original lugs, the latter with both lugs intact, better than very fine.


Footnote: The Battalion was raised in New Brunswick with mobilization headquarters at Saint John under the authority of G.O. 36, March 15, 1915. The Battalion sailed June 13, 1915 with a strength of 42 officers and 1,108 other ranks under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel J.L. McAvity. The Battalion served in France and Belgium with the 5th Infantry Brigade, 2nd Canadian Division. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
