Germany. A Bronze Grade Tank Badge by Rudolf Karneth

A second war German Bronze Grade Tank Badge (Panzerkampfabzeichen); oval shaped bronzed zink; the obverse with a border of oak leaves with a tie at the base and a Panzerkampfwagen IV superimposed in the centre on grassy ground, with its left tank track extending over the edge of the badge; the reverse plain with a vertical needle style pin, a crimped ball hinge, and a crimped round wire catch; maker marked “R.K.” for “Rudolf Karneth, Gablonz an der Neisse; measuring 42.88 mm x 62.06 mm; weighing 29.1 grams; with overall better than very fine condition.
