An example of a National Penal Service Official’s belt with buckle; the buckle constructed of gilt aluminum; the obverse depicting a leftward facing open-winged National eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, within a laurel wreath; the reverse with an aluminum catch and dual-prong cross bar; marked “Ges. Gesch.” and “2” for “C.E. Junker, Berlin”; measuring 50 mm in diameter; the belt constructed of thick leather, with a black polished upper and a natural butter-scotch coloured underside; with a catch on the one end, and a leather tab with six rows of double vertically stamped holes for length adjustment; measuring 980 mm (w) x 43 mm (h); a worn example in overall better than very fine condition.
