Germany. A NSDAP Golden Party Badge by Deschler & Sohn; Large Version

A well preserved example of a third reich period NSDAP (National Socialist German Worker’s Party/Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei) Golden Party Badge; Large Version; in gilt tombac, and black, white, and pebbled red enamels. The obverse with a black mobile swastika (Hakenkreuz) in the centre, within a bed of white enamels, with a red enameled edge inscribed “Nationalsozialistische DAP”, the reverse plain, with a horizontal pinback; clearly maker marked “Deschler & Sohn, München”, and “Ges. Gesch.” on the reverse; numbered “14279” (unresearched); measuring 30.57 mm in diameter; weighing 13.1 grams; light contact marks, with one moderate contact mark within the white enamels; in overall near extremely fine condition.
