Germany. A Silver Grade Wound Badge by Carl Wild of Hamburg with Case

A second war German Silver Grade Wound Badge (Verwundetenabzeichen); oval shaped silvered zink; the obverse pebbled with a Stahlhelm in the centre featuring a large mobile swastika on its side superimposed on crossed swords within a wreath of laurel leaves with a tied bow at the bottom; the reverse plain with a vertical needle style pin, sheet metal hinge, and a round wire catch; maker marked “107” for Carl Wild of Hamburg; measuring 36.74 mm (w) x 44.32 mm (h); weighing 23.7 grams. The case constructed of cardstock, with a faux leather (leatherette) exterior; with the exterior leatherette hinge fully preserved; measuring 64 mm (w) x 64 mm (h); in overall near extremely fine condition.
