A finely made cross with delicate features, five red enameled arms with white bordering, green enameled laurels, obverse centre with hand painted portrait of Hamad bin Thuwaini, reverse centre with cypher, silver gilt wreath suspension, an obscured makers mark, however likely ""aBc"" for Arthus Bertrand & Co., measuring 44 mm (w) x 67 mm (h - inclusive of wreath and horizontally pierced ball suspension), with enamel damage to reverse centre and minor loss to laurels, fine.
This offering is a part of the "Dr. Albert Goodwin Collection", a preeminent assemblage of world Orders, Medals, and Decorations composed solely by Dr.Goodwin between 1946-1967. Dr. Goodwin had a successful career as an educator and prominent physician in New York as well as actively serving in both World Wars with the United States Medical Corps.
