1858-1918 issue. An example of an extremely well preserved and fine quality manufacture Order of the Red Eagle Second Class Breast Star (Preußische Rote Adlerorden Bruststern zur II. Klasse); consisting of a very detailed gold cross pattée with four white enameled arms, on a silver star; the obverse with a circular white enameled medallion with a separately applied enameled Crowned Eagle, surrounded by a white enameled ring, inscribed “Sincere Et Constanter” (Latin - Sincere and persistent) in gold lettering; the reverse with a vertical pin and a functional hinge/catch assembly; maker marked “Godet in Berlin” on the reverse; measuring 76.63 mm (w) x 76.37 mm (h); weighing 57.0 grams; in virtually mint condition.
