An excellent album that contains 25 pictures, as well as another 10 loose pictures. The cover page states: “pictures from the war life of my brother Heinz”. Of the photos that have been dated, most are dated to 1918, only one is from 1915. Heinz was stationed in France. Several pictures show men wearing pilot badges, observer badges, and/or Iron Crosses 1st Class. In one of the loose photos Heinz can be seen in a reclining lawn chair with crutches, with a nurse in the background. He wears the Iron Cross 2nd Class ribbon. Of the loose pictures one is dated to New Years eve 1914, two to 1915, and one to 1918. Some pictures are signed by “Aviation NCO Großmann”, presumably Heinz’s last name. Includes period, untouched photos of captured British/Commonwealth soldiers, images of German aircraft, all with captions. Measuring 255x204mm, near extremely fine condition, photos with light scuffing and creasing.
