Constructed of oval shaped silvered feinzink; the obverse pebbled with a Stahlhelm in the centre featuring a large mobile swastika on its side superimposed on crossed swords within a wreath of laurel leaves with a tied bow at the bottom; the reverse plain with a vertical needle style pin, an integrated hinge, and a crimped flat wire catch; maker marked “L/55” and “100” for “Rudolf Wächtler & Lange, Mittweida” on the reverse; measuring 35.91 mm (w) x 43.58 mm (h); weighing 20.8 grams. Accompanied by its original presentation case; constructed of cardstock, with a dark burgundy faux leather (leatherette) exterior; slotted medal bed with a functional exterior metal hinge; measuring 64 mm (w) x 65 mm (h); in overall near mint condition.
